Guide to Far West for many expeditions including Capt. Marcy's escort to emigrants in Gold Rush to California. 1849; and for troops evacuated from U.S. post in Ind. Ter. to Kansas, 1861.

** Black Beaver was buried near his home northwest of Anadarko. In 1975 the Delaware tribe reinterred his body on the Fort Sill Military Reservation.
